Vibrant Bohemian Styled Bridal Shoot

Photographer: Kristen Herrington Photography

What Is A Styled Shoot?

“A styled shoot is simply a collaborative effort of multiple creatives who put their talents and resources together to create a stunning visual concept to be photographed.” (from this article) I often get inquiries from photographers, event coordinators, or event venues asking for a florist to collaborate on styled (photo)shoots.

Sometimes there is a vision for these shoots and other times I have total creative liberty to design whatever I want. Sometimes I’m offered compensation for materials/time and other times it’s a volunteer opportunity. I decide whether I want to participate based on my availability, the amount of material/time requested, and how I feel about the creative vision for the shoot. I enjoy these shoots because they are opportunities to flex my creative muscles as a florist, try new design styles or techniques, and work with other wedding vendors in the community.

This Styled Shoot

For this shoot, Kristen of Kristen Herrington Photography, reached out to me for a bright, bohemian bouquet for a bridal styled shoot. I was happy to oblige and I think you’ll agree that the flowers and photos turned out beautifully!

What Did I Use?

For this vibrant, organic bridal bouquet, I used Free Spirit roses, garden roses, carnations, stock, bupleurum, lisianthus, and Italian ruscus. I love the whimsical vintage charm of this shoot with the model’s sparkly boots, the vintage car, the hand-painted denim jacket—it’s just fun!
