Inspiration vs. Interpretation: Perfect Peony Wedding at Stone Chapel at MattLane Farm

Viva Magenta is Pantone Color Service’s 2023 color of the year! It’s a bright, sassy (hot) pink that is one of my favorite accents to add to pink bouquets. When Hayden came to me with inspo pics of lush magenta peonies with accents of peach and blush, I was tickled pink to bring the Rose of Sharon flair to her vision.

For Hayden’s bouquet, we used an array of fluffy blooms in shades of pink, peach, and magenta. Garden Roses, spray roses, peonies, carnations, ranunculus, lisianthus, and stock were the stars! The bridesmaids’ bouquets were smaller versions of the bride’s and they popped beauitifully against the ladies’ sage dresses. For Bryant’s bout, we featured 4 different small blooms in shades of blush, peach, and magenta. The finishing touch was a sweet, custom collar for the couple’s dog! We may be biased because we have 2 little ROS shop dogs, but floral dog collars always give the bouquet a run for its money.

For the ceremony, we designed 3 low and full semi-organic pieces to adorn the table on the altar. In between the Italian Rucus and sword ferns we arranged Garden Roses, standard roses, carnations and spray roses in our pinky color palette. They made for a lovely backdrop as Hayden and Bryant said I do!

For the reception, the altarpieces were repurposed for the sweetheart table, Hayden’s bouquet adorned the cake table, and we accented the 4 tier cake with complementary blooms. We love multi-purpose pieces! An amazing way to make your floral budget go for miles and make your wedding all the more special.
