Rose of Sharon is 21!

21yrs.jpg

April 17, 1998. This was the beginning. The day Rose of Sharon officially began.

In 1998, I designed FOUR weddings. Last year, we designed over 75 weddings and events.

In 1998, I was 24. You can do the math for 2019. :D

In 1998, the internet was barely a thing. In 2019, it’s everything!

In 1998, roses and Stargazer Lilies were popular. In 2019, garden roses, peonies, and ranunculus are my most requested flowers.

I could go on and on and on…21 years means lots and lots of memories, designs, weddings, and events. But instead, I’ll just show you some of my favorite photos from the last 10ish years (because there are no digital photos from 1998!)

Enjoy!

Amazing wedding from 2005!

Through the years, we’ve worked in some absolutely beautiful venues and locations, including (but absolutely NOT limited to):

Our arrangements have ranged from simple to elaborate. We’ve had the chance to design very large weddings, simple elopements, themed events, and corporate receptions. We’ve gotten the chance to work with flowers from all over the world and with flowers grown by local farmers. Our flowers have been in celebrity planes and everyday homes. We’ve given children their first flowers and helped families say goodbye to loved ones.

Finally, a great big THANK YOU to everyone who has helped us make it this far!

Oh, and here’s a peackcok we made with orchids….because it was just COOL to make this!
