Flirty Pink Pastel Wedding at the Fayetteville Country Club

Sometimes fate steps in when you’re planning your wedding and my advice is to go with the flow! That is exactly what happened when a lovely couple walked into the shop this year on none other than February 14th. The shop was abuzz with designers and delivery drivers working together to make our clients’ days special. Every year I serve as master of ceremony, so to speak, overseeing everything and everyone to make sure the day goes smoothly. Much to my surprise, the couple was there to talk wedding flowers and luckily I had some time to spare to chat.

For Valentine’s Day, we always feature a few different color palettes—always inspired by the day of love. Flirt is one of our most popular palettes because it contains pastel pinks, whites, peaches, and sometimes light purples. It’s sweet and makes you smile, like young love. The bride saw a handful of arrangements headed out for delivery in the Flirt palette and immediately said “I want that for my wedding!” And the rest is history.

For the bridal bouquet, we used pink standard roses, ranunculus and double tulips, then we added blush sweet peas and white wax flower to round out the design. For the reception at the Fayetteville Country Club, we designed a living floral art piece to frame the entire entryway into the room. Smilax vine was intertwined with pink lilies, pink genestra, white faux wisteria, blush mums, deep pink roses and soft pink spray roses all arranged to look like they were growing right out of the walls, creating a beautiful entry for the wedding guests. A similar arrangement lined the beautiful brick mantle, while two large organic arrangements sat on gold Harlow stands flanking the bar. For the tables, we placed a large arrangement on another gold stand for the bride & groom’s table and low, full arrangements straight out of our Valentine’s Day repertoire for the guest tables. Shelby Lynn’s Cake Shoppe arranged pink tulips we provided on a stunning 2-tier cake.

All in all, we couldn’t be happier with how this wedding turned out! It just goes to show that Valentine’s Day colors evoke love year round. Enjoy our own photos of the day below!
