White with Something Blue Wedding at Stone Chapel at MattLane Farm

Sometimes I have the opportunity to design for multiple weddings within one family and it always warms my heart! This special day was no different. A few years ago I designed for Mariel’s sister, Hollan’s wedding (see the blog here) so I was so excited when she chose me to design for her big day. The vibe was Winter Wonderland with a touch of Something Blue. A twist on a classic color palette is something I always love!

For her bouquet, we used white roses, spray roses, stock, and carnations. The key ingredient though was blue delphinium! It is so delicate and provide amazing dimension when paired with a monochromatic color palette. A delphinium bloom was the perfect size for Riley’s bout and we paired with two sweet spray rose buds. The bridesmaid’s carried smaller versions of the bridal bouquet and they popped off of the girls’ pale blue dresses! Such a pretty color!

For the ceremony, we designed two large altarpieces filled with trailing ruscus, roses, and carnations. To frame the aisle, white lush and organic arrangements guided your eyes right at our fabulous couple. The best part? These pieces were moved to the fireplace for the reception later! We love designing multi-use pieces.

For the reception we designed 3 different centerpieces. First, we surrounded 3 vases of floating votives with ruscus, eucalyptus, and spray roses. Second, we designed a tall open style arrangement filled with eucalyptus, roses, and stock. Last, we created a low, compact arrangement featuring whites and blues! The 3 heights gave the room dimension and added depth!

We nestled white roses into the stunning five tier cake made by Harp’s Bakery and surrounded the cake with loose foliage.

Planned by Wed by Meg, this lovely couple said their vows accompanied by our cheerful and sweet floral designs. Stone Chapel at MattLane Farm served as the perfect backdrop and Bailey Fraccascia Photo captured the day wonderfully. Enjoy the snaps below!
