Colorful Boho Wedding at The Ballroom at I Street

Photos: Captured by Mary

In the past 2 years, I’ve seen more and more brides looking for a modern multi-color palette. What I mean by this is that every color in the rainbow is represented in their flowers, but the colors are a combination of saturated and muted to created gorgeous contrast. Chrissy wanted a Boho colorful feel for her wedding at The Ballroom at I Street and I knew exactly how to execute her vision.

For Chrissy’s organic style bouquet, my fave Free Spirit Garden Roses (which are a pale orange) were the star of the show. Bright orange ranunculus, deep red spray roses, yellow solidago, blue eryngium, pink celosia, and purple astrantia accented the Free Spirits to bring this boho rainbow to life! Each of Chrissy’s bridesmaids wore a different jewel-toned color dress so we designed mini versions of her bouquet that were slightly less colorful to differentiate them from hers. I LOVE how they turned out next to the girls’ gowns. Fall Fabulous!

For the ceremony, we designed an arbor piece and several aisle pieces to frame the vintage rug lined aisle. To complement the hexagonal arbor, Free Spirit Garden Roses, solidago, and eryngium cascaded together with Italian ruscus and pampas grass intertwined. The aisle arrangements featured the same flowers as the arbor piece to create a cohesive look and BONUS—these arrangements were used to frame the head table at the reception!! A gorgeous, organic sweetheart table piece rounded out the reception.

The talented Captured by Mary photographed this stunning event! Take a look at their lovely images below! Enjoy!
