Fall Decor: Edgar Allan Poe Inspired Tablescape
This Halloween, we had the pleasure of designing an Edgar Allan Poe inspired tablescape featured in At Home in Arkansas’ October Issue! Our dear colleague and Event and PR Maven Meredith Corning dreamed up this amazing, spooky idea.
Vibrant Space Themed Gala at The Thaden School
We don’t just specialize in Weddings her at Rose of Sharon, in fact, we’ve been designing for corporate, non-profit, and private events since we opened! For the past 3 years, we’ve had the pleasure of designing for the Thaden School Gala which was held at the school itself. “TOTALITY” was the theme for the night, inspired by the impending ecclipse. Event Manager, Laura Hammarstrom decided on a “full-on space-y color”-ful vibe.
Inspiration vs. Interpretation: Colorful Folk Flower Crown
Victoria is Polish and she wanted to honor her heritage at this shoot. She brought me pictures of Polish and Slavic folk art flower crowns. Traditionally, flower crowns were worn by brides in rural Poland ceremonially as a symbol of the rite of passage of marriage. Victoria asked me to design a colorful, fun, modern crown for her to wear and a matching lapel for her fiance, Tim.
Wednesday: What's In It?
For Shannon’s bouquet, we used White Ashley Garden Roses, stock ranunculus, and anemones. To add texture, we intertwined dollar eucalyptus and seeded eucalyptus with the fluffy blooms! Blue delphinium added the perfect touch of something blue to bring the whole bouquet together.
Inspiration vs. Interpretation: Classic White Round Bouquet with Something Blue
I ask almost every client for inspiration photos during the creative process. It helps me understand exactly what they are envisioning for their wedding. When Shannon reached out and asked me to dessign for her and Brent’s intimate nuptials at Cooper Chapel, she actually brought me a picture of my own design! I was so flattered! She loved everything about it, but wanted to add a touch of something blue.
Wednesday: What's In It?
For Mary Kate’s bouquet, we used white hydrangeas, tulips, and gardenias accented with crisp green salal. It was fluffy and ethereal and complemented her classic strapless A-line gown perfectly.
Wednesday: What's In It?
For Andrea’s bouquet, we used only the fluffiest of flowers in shades of white and cream—standard roses, spray roses, stock, lisianthus, and wax flower. We designed it in a dramatic cascade shape with fresh green foliage accenting the whole look.

Deep Sunset Wedding at The Ravington
More and more I’ve been getting requests for a color palette I call sunset. Now sunsets can vary a lot; from oranges and purples to blushes and marigolds, so this palette is perfect for the marrier who wants multi-color, but with a focus. For Jordan and Ron’s wedding at The Ravington, we created a deep sunset featuring the dusk-like colors of orange, peach, and magenta.
