Classic White Wedding Flowers at Fair Haven at the Vineyards
One truly special part about our line of work is getting to design for family and friends. This Fall, we had the pleasure of designing for our Assistant Designer Olivia’s best friend, Sarah. For their wedding at the newly opened Fair Haven at the Vineyards Sarah and David pictured classic white blooms with a touch of blue. To top it all off, Julie of Most Joyful Day coordinated the event and she actually referred Olivia to work with us 4 years ago. As the old adage goes, the rest is history so we couldn’t wait to get designing this friend-filled event!
Wildflower and Foliage Wedding at Sassafras Springs Vineyard
I always love when my clients have a clear vision for their wedding day. They share inspirational photos, color palettes, and overall thoughts for the feeling and vibe they want their special day to have. For Maura and Alex’s Summer nuptials at Sassafras Springs Vineyard, they came to us with the idea of a wildflower, foliage fantasy and we brought that dream to life!
For Maura’s organic style bouquet, we designed with multiple shades of green, cream, and small pops of terra cotta. Red Rudbekkia , cream butterfly ranunculus, two shades of yarrow and peach carnations were our focal flowers. While bupleurum, agonis, Italian Ruscus, and plumosa brought different greens and neutrals into the mix. The blooms were arranged in a wildflower style—designed to look effortlessly put-together, which is actually a master floral technique to achieve!
Peach, Blue, and Cream Wedding Flowers at Sassafras Springs Vineyard.
This year, the Pantone Color of the Year—Peach Fuzz—has been center stage for weddings! It brings a softness and romance to any wedding palette and harmonizes beautifully with rich blues and elegant cream accents. For Megan and Landon’s Summer nuptials at Sassafras Springs Vineyard, we brought this vision of warmth and sophistication to live in a Peach Fuzz dream!
White Garden Rose Wedding with Something Blue at Osage House
I love putting a fresh, modern spin on the classics. For Chandler and Jacob’s wedding at the grand Osage House, they envisioned a classic white color palette with something blue. Think timeless, white blooms with a special pop of color!
For Chandler’s bouquet, we used an array of delicate flowers in white: garden roses, anemones, and ranunculus. The something blue was pale delphinium, gray-blue eryngium, and navy privet berry. It was lush and lovely and perfect with her off the shoulder gown!
Luxe Pink and Peach Wedding in Eureka Springs
When Sherry and Jerry came to me to design their wedding at Eureka Springs beautiful Thorncrown Chapel, I was beyond excited. They are both architects so they wanted their wedding flowers to complement the stunning beauty of the E. Fay Jones designed marvel. To learn a little more about how these two architects fell in love, check out our feature on Wedding Chicks! Now let’s dig a little deeper into the floral details…
Garden Countryside Wedding at Stone Chapel at MattLane Farm
For Andrea and Cole’s wedding at the lovely Stone Chapel at MattLane Farm, they envisioned a Garden Countryside. Think European Garden meets NWA in the best way. The colors were whites and soft blues; and Andrea wanted small and delicate flowers for that natural, wild feeling.
Sweet Blush and Cream Wedding at Stone Chapel at MattLane Farm
In the past few months, I’ve increasingly been receiving more requests for cascading bouquets. A cascading bouquet is a design containing a mass of flowers that are arranged to trail to a narrow end. After years of hand-tied bouquets, these designs are gaining popularity because of the amount of artistry involved so I was stoked when Alisa wanted a cascading bouquet for her and Harrison’s big day at Stone Chapel at MattLane Farm.
Passionate Purple Wedding at Cooper Chapel
When Jennifer and Bronwyn came to me with a vision of purples, lavenders, and burgundies for their wedding at the gorgeous Cooper Chapel, I was beyond excited! Selfishly, purple is my favorite color and even Rose of Sharon’s brand colors are purple! Plus, I always love designing 2 bouquets for 2 brides because it’s an exercise in floral pieces being unique, but complementary.
Inspiration vs. Interpretation: Perfect Peony Wedding at Stone Chapel at MattLane Farm
Viva Magenta is Pantone Color Service’s 2023 color of the year! It’s a bright, sassy (hot) pink that is one of my favorite accents to add to pink bouquets. When Hayden came to me with inspo pics of lush magenta peonies with accents of peach and blush, I was tickled pink to bring the Rose of Sharon flair to her vision.
Ravishing Reds Wedding at Sassafras Springs Winery
Red is arguably the 2nd most classic wedding color, with white (of course) taking the top spot. In the over 25 years I’ve been designing, I’ve loved seeing how red has evolved as a palette. For Max and Audrey’s, Fall nuptials at Sassafras Springs Winery, we created a gorgeous, modern take on red with shades of burgundy, purple, and pink. You might be thinking—those colors aren’t red? Well, technically they’re not, but they’re all in the (red) family!
