Whimsical Wildflower Wedding Flowers at a Private Home
One truly special part about our line of work is getting to design for family and friends. This Fall, we had the pleasure of designing for our Assistant Designer Olivia’s sister, Sarah. Charles and Sarah’s wedding was extra special because Charles’ family home served as the venue. To top it all off, Julianne of Most Joyful Day coordinated the event and she actually referred Olivia to work with us 4 years ago. Julianne happens to be one of Olivia’s mom’s friends! As the old adage goes, the rest is history and we were so happy to be a part of this event filled with family and friends.
Wednesday: What's In It?
For Maura’s organic style bouquet, we designed with multiple shades of green, cream, and small pops of terra cotta. Red Rudbekkia , cream butterfly ranunculus, two shades of yarrow and peach carnations were our focal flowers. While bupleurum, agonis, Italian Ruscus, and plumosa brought different greens and neutrals into the mix. The blooms were arranged in a wildflower style—designed to look effortlessly put-together, which is actually a master floral technique to achieve!
Wildflower and Foliage Wedding at Sassafras Springs Vineyard
I always love when my clients have a clear vision for their wedding day. They share inspirational photos, color palettes, and overall thoughts for the feeling and vibe they want their special day to have. For Maura and Alex’s Summer nuptials at Sassafras Springs Vineyard, they came to us with the idea of a wildflower, foliage fantasy and we brought that dream to life!

Pastel Rainbow Wedding at Sassafras Springs Winery
A trend I’ve seen more lately is brides embracing color! Now, don’t get us wrong, we love a traditional all white wedding, but there’s something so cheerful and happy about colorful flowers. For her summer wedding at Sassafras Springs Winery and Vineyard, Jessica came to me looking for a whimsical mix of delicate blooms in light, pastel tones. It felt garden party meets wedding and I was excited to bring the Rose of Sharon flare to it.
Vibrant Space Themed Gala at The Thaden School
We don’t just specialize in Weddings her at Rose of Sharon, in fact, we’ve been designing for corporate, non-profit, and private events since we opened! For the past 3 years, we’ve had the pleasure of designing for the Thaden School Gala which was held at the school itself. “TOTALITY” was the theme for the night, inspired by the impending ecclipse. Event Manager, Laura Hammarstrom decided on a “full-on space-y color”-ful vibe.
Whimsical Jewel Tone Wedding at Cooper Chapel
One of my favorite color palettes to work with is something I call multicolor. Now that does not mean rainbow (unless you want it to,) instead it means a variety of colors usually in a similar color tone family. For her summer wedding, Sally came to me looking for a whimsical mix of seasonal blooms in deep, rich jewel tones. I loved her vision and was excited to bring the ROS flare to it.
